Hi, I'm Kate.

I draw Art Nouveau: goddesses, saints, tarot arcana, and the occasional Gothic girl who looks like she's judging you. I sign my work Kate Corbell, and I draw and paint all of it in Norman, Oklahoma.

Corbell Studios is what happens when somebody with an accounting degree and a drawing habit decides the drawing habit should start paying rent.

What I make

Original illustration, printed on things people actually use: fine art prints and posters, kiss-cut stickers, pillows, tees, a 40oz tumbler, a soy candle that smells better than my studio. Plus original mixed-media paintings, some with real gold leaf, that exist exactly once.

How it works

Most things here are printed after you order them. That means a few extra days of waiting and, in exchange, no warehouse of unsold inventory and no designing for whatever's trending this week. It's slower on purpose.

The part I'll be upfront about

I have FND, Functional Neurological Disorder, a condition that affects how my brain and body talk to each other. Some weeks my hands cooperate and some weeks they don't. I work in bursts, and I paint through it, not around it. Every piece here got made on a day my body said yes, and I think it shows.

And no, it's not AI

Every line starts on paper or in Procreate under my own hand. If you want proof, my Instagram is basically a live feed of me covered in ink.

Commissions

I take them. Tell me roughly what you want and I'll tell you honestly whether I can do it well. I'd rather turn a project down than sign something I'm not proud of. Apply for a commission here.
