Sir Patrick Stewart Original
This is the original. The actual piece, not a print and not a file.
A man in profile, calm and quietly amused, with a lit hall opening inside his mind. A figure in a wheelchair rolls toward the glow. The mind is the one place that was never confined, and this painting is built around that idea.
I made this in memory of Sir Patrick Stewart, a tribute inspired by his years as Professor X. He played a teacher who believed in people long before they believed in themselves. A lot of us grew up on that kind of faith, and I wanted to say thank you.
The frame is full Art Nouveau: whiplash vines, irises, and water lilies, with metallic gold tracing the edges.
